Peziza vesiculosa – Common Dung Cup
The fruiting bodies of Peziza vesiculosa are often densely grouped at first hemispherical become deeply cup or urn shaped around 80mm in diameter and often distorted. The outside or lower surface becoming whitish with age. Spores are colourless, cream or white. They occur on woodchip mulch in many parts of the Park and, interestingly, appear within one or two months of mulch spread and can be observed for most of the year.
